February 16, 2019 brought news that every parent fears. Susan's 27 year old son, Jacob had lost a long battle with an addiction. Having incurred a serious high school sports injury, Jacob, like so many others, was prescribed opioid pain medications. What began out of medical necessity, eventually took control, progressing to more potent, addictive substances. Jacob fought a long hard battle desperately wanting to be free, but the addiction was too powerful.
Listen, as Susan shares her four year journey from unimaginable loss and pain, to experiencing GOD's restorative work in her life. Discover how GOD can take our greatest tragedies and create something beautiful from the ashes and restore meaning and purpose to our broken lives.
