79. Farm Girls Talk About Farm Accidents, Survival, and Safety

We’re officially back for Season 3, and this episode is heavier than anything we’ve shared before. We’re opening up about a traumatic farm accident that left Courtney’s husband, Aaron, seriously injured after a tree fell on him while working in the woods. Courtney walks through the terrifying day, from the phone call no one ever wants to receive to the med flight, ICU stay, and long road to recovery. It’s an honest look at how quickly life can change and how fragile our routines really are.

While this episode carries weight, it also carries purpose. There’s candid talk about farm safety, including tips to help be prepared for anything. We’re reflecting on the power of rural communities, accepting help when it’s offered, and how close calls have a way of resetting priorities. As always, there’s still Farm Girls humor woven in because that’s how we cope, but the message is clear: hug your people, take safety seriously, and don’t take a single day for granted.
