Narcissus is a character from Greek Mythology. He was a good-looking hunter who caught a glimpse of his reflection in the water. He fell in love with himself. The term that is used often today to describe someone who has an unhealthy relationship with love for themselves at the expense of others is narcissism. Lizz was involved in a relationship with a man who has covert narcissistic personality disorder. The relationship with this man brought Lizz to a point where she lost who she was. Lizz continues to work towards healing in her life to overcome both an emotionally and physically abusive relationship. Lizz has found that sharing her story with others strengthens her healing and helps others who find themselves in a similar situation. Lizz also discusses overcoming an abusive childhood and abandonment.
