In Matthew 5:16 Jesus said, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." What would it look like to let God's light shine in elementary school classrooms today? Special guest, April Graney, shows young readers exactly what that looks like in her new children's book If Jesus Came to My School, published by Penguin Random House.

April is on the show today sharing a word of encouragement to parents entrusted with the important responsibility of teaching their kids to be salt and light, wherever they are. Like Little Pot, Dawn took a long time to discover her true identity and purpose. She searched for purpose as an educator, wife, mother, fundraising director, sales manager, business owner, and even a school principal. Her search caused her to define herself by what she held. As God continued to empty and refill her, she learned to focus instead on what He would grow through her. Each of her books teaches readers about the loving relationship we can have with our Potter and with each other.
