Do you absolutely dread being asked to do new things? Have you had to turn away from your kids when they are trying something new that wouldn't hurt them, it just offended your adult sensibilities? Has God asked you to do something new, but you're paralyzed? (Are you wondering how these things are related?) If so, you’re in the right place. Hi Beautiful, I’m Cheryl — wife, girl mom, aspiring SAHM, and Jesus follower. I learned the not-so-secret ways to become the mom my girls needed by prioritizing Jesus, finding routines that worked, rejecting mom guilt when I failed, and learning what self‑esteem really is. This podcast is for moms who want Biblical encouragement and real‑life devotions. If you’re ready to build faith while washing dishes, become the mom you hoped you’d be, and love yourself the way your babies do — grab your earbuds and lock the bathroom door for a minute alone. It’s Time for Mom. In this episode, I’m sharing the importance of trying, trusting and being obedient to God's direction so you can grow with a few less growing pains than I: How often does God tell me to do something and I'm like, "Um, no."? What would happen if I was actually obedient the first time God asked me to do something? Wouldn't the outcome mean that I learned something about myself or God? Wouldn't I grow in confidence in God? Wouldn't the outcome mean that God is still using me to further his Kingdom and glory even though sometimes it feels like I'm just stuck at home being a mom? God is right there saying, "Please try and see what happens. I'm here. I will catch you. It might not end how you imagine, but you're going to be okay. You're going to grow and you're going to be more confident because you did try. You didn't let life paralyze you." My responsibility is start and trust God. The outcome is up to God, not me and He can turn any mess I make into a masterpiece. Just start, be obedient, and let God do the rest.
