31-0 and American Samoan redemption in "Next Goal Wins"

We have all kind of heard the story of Australia vs American Samoa in 2001. Of the team at the bottom of the FIFA World Rankings so bad that they set a record that still stands for most goals conceded in a single game. But as with all great football stories, once you scratch the surface, there appears so much more than what meets the eye. This week on the show we dove deep into this infamous game from 2001. To accompany the game we watched the brilliant documentary Next Goal Wins, which charts the attempts a decade later under a charismatic coach of the Samoan's attempts to win their first official games. This is an amazing story which shows all that is good about the beautiful game, as the ultimate underdogs battle for redemption on the global stage.
