Yoga Sūtra 2.45

Yoga Sūtra 1.23

“Īśvara-praṇidhānād vā”

“Or [samādhi is attained] by devotion to the Lord.”

Īśvarapraṇidhāna is composed of three Sanskrit parts:

•Īśvara – the Divine, the Supreme Being, the Higher Self

•Praṇi – to bow down

•Dhāna – to place or dedicate
