The comments over my last few posts denying any African lineage for Black Americans is really sad. Whether you’re Black, Black American, ADOS, FBA, African American, or whatever, you don’t lose anything by acknowledging that your roots are in Africa. You can only gain from stretching out your historical lineage. No other group does this as much as we do. Of course many Black Americans acknowledge their ancestry, but enough of us don’t to make it problematic. Someone said in one chat that they don’t even know what the term “African American” means. My response. RESEARCH! It’s not hard. This was the point of the enslavement process and we shouldn’t give them that win. #african #africa #tether #ados #fba Learn more about your ad choices.
