In this first episode in a series exploring our identity we discuss balancing our citizenship in heaven with our citizenship as Americans. What's the difference between patriotism and nationalism? How we do be keep our allegiances order in a biblical way?

Christmas is a celebration of God's extravagant love. It's one of the times of the year when we pause and marvel at just how valued we are by our creator. In the middle of the all the hustle and bustle of Christmas, how do we reflect that love to those around us? How do we care for others in tangible ways?

Peace. Christians are supposed to be about peace but when we look out into the world, if you read the headlines, it is not very peaceful. So as Christians, how do we bring about God’s peace? If you want peace, must you prepare yourself for war? How do we protect the powerless, care for our enemies, and honor God? Does allegiance with the kingdom of God require a non-violent ethic? 

What does God have for me, right here and now? How can I participate in what God is doing? How do I lead in the places that God placed me in? What does it look like to lead in my family?

What's the litmus test? What criteria do I use to determine if I'm going to let someone into my life; to let God use them in my life? Can God use people who see the world differently than me in my life? Are there some differences of opinion that would justify me severing ties with them?
