292: Stacey Shumacher—When Animal Lovers Eat Their Own

Dirty Jobber Stacey Schumacher, co-owner of Schumacher Cattle (a ranch with a "pasture to plate program") and founder and executive director of the Texas Coalition for Animal Protection, a non-profit organization that spayed and neutered over 68,000 cats and dogs last year, has a unique perspective on animal rights and animal husbandry and why they are both so crucial.

Dropped off cats

I love that this is happening but it is hard to get into a facility like this. As you know cat reproduce like (rabbits) figure of speech. So pet owners/ cat owners don’t like paying the price. So they bring out too the small towns or country towns and drop them off so people like myself end up carrying for them. It becomes overwhelming financially.

No matter the subject both Chuck and Mike (alphabetically) are the men for the job!
