27 | Children's Clothing Sale (with LeAn Ramsey and Lisa Miller)

Twice a year since 2004, a team of about 15 women come together for a week of bonding and service. A ministry was launched that would exceed all expectations: the Children's Clothing Sale. What we thought was a ministry for others, became just as much a ministry for ourselves. It's not just about the clothes; it's about the deep connections and the opportunity to show people Jesus through kindness and compassion.

In 2028, Sycamore View Church will turn 50 years old, and we want to do this right. We want to use the next few years as a season of reflection and preparation: reflection concerning all God has done through this church and preparation for God’s future here. We want to be great story-tellers. So we’re launching what we’re calling “50 for 50.” Telling fifty stories. Over fifty months. Celebrating fifty years. At the beginning of every month until the spring of 2028, we will release a new story celebrating events, ministries, people, and risks, all in attempt to honor ways God has shaped and formed this church.
