After serving during the Cold War, he joined Exxon, where he held executive leadership roles and helped oversee the Valdez oil spill cleanup. He later became CEO of Ernst & Young Consulting for Southeast Asia, advised the Singapore Prime Minister’s Office and other governments on innovation and industrial evolution, and led large-scale global transformation initiatives. Following a near-death experience in 2000, JD’s life took a profound turn toward spiritual inquiry, healing, and human potential. He founded the Messinger Institute and authored 11 Days in May, a book he describes as emerging through a direct spiritual experience.
