Today we are reading LiberLXV chapter 3 with Atu XII, the Hanged Man. This chapter is associated with the element of Water and the part of the soul called the Neshamah.

Liber 65 describes the adept's relationship with their HGA who has the all purpose name of Adonai--as prescribed in The Sacred Magic of Abramelin the Mage. Chapter 4 is associated with the element of Fire which is attributed to the part of the soul called Chiah. The interesting feature of this chapter that still fascinates me is the appearance of Apep here. The Alchemical furnace that is represented in the Art card makes me think of Job whose HGA was ELIHUA when I read this chapter. I like this chapter because it is challenging, a therapeutical furnace--taken apart and put back together or taken apart to reveal what is whole or taken apart to show that what you think is "you" is not you.
