205. God’s Voice Provides our Identity with Donna Winship

Donna believed that she wasn’t smart enough, didn’t belong and didn’t fit in. She had lie-based thinking and was getting her identity from what she did, what people said about her and what she had. Growing up Jewish, she had a very strong tight community but only traditions and laws. She had a sense of guilt and shame and not a personal relationship with God. You will hear about her and her husband Jamie’s testimony when he was in law enforcement in DC, while she was a teacher living the American dream. Something was different with them: they listened to the voice of God. This unique and powerful episode will leave you yearning for more of a real intimate relationship with God for you, not anyone else. Like Moses, knowledge doesn’t change our life, an encounter does.
