  • Episode 98 - The Prayer Chain 'Mercury' part 2
    Mar 27 2026

Toph leads the discussion and review of The Prayer Chain's 1995 album ‘Mercury' – including, as always, albums + songs on our radar and much more!

Genre bending? Absolutely. A masterpiece? Likely. Killer opportunity to discuss a whole genre and scene of music beloved by the brothers?? You betcha. Come with us down a joyful road as we revisit, what many would say, is the best "christian rock" album ever created -- by a rebellious, southern California bunch that knew what they were doing, and pieced together something most who followed this genre of music had simply never heard before. Regardless of the fact that most fans of The Verve, Curve and The Choir had. But who's counting. Let us revive, let us remember, and let us discuss the ups and downs of the christian music scene...breaking up with girlfriends...staying in tents in rural Illinois...and other influential bands such as Skullhead, Mama's Head Trip, The Shooks, The Favazza Brothers, and Faith +1. Just to name a few. Lastly, we make our plea for the Wings to make the effing playoffs. Please. Lord. Enjoy part two!!

  • Episode 97 - Peter Gabriel 'So'
    Mar 5 2026

Nubs leads the discussion and review of Peter Gabriel's 1986 album ‘So' – including, as always, albums + songs on our radar and much more!

Healthy debates ensue, from Toph's Top Five selections to whether songs that are obvious love songs are actually love songs or not. (Can you tell who wrote this) Regardless, both dummys agree this mid 80's blockbuster from the always interesting -- and occasionally fun -- former Genesis frontman was a doozy to walk through. And we hope you enjoy it.

  • Toph's Top Five (Episode #19): Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
    Jan 28 2026

Episode 19 of Toph’s Top Five, the 2T&A spinoff sweeping the nation, focuses on simplicity...hitting it down the middle of the fairway...giving the people what they want...and of course, shaming Nubs for being so mean to these gosh darn Heartbreakers all the time. Hard working, serviceable backing band. That just puts in the work. Hits the heavy bag. Brings their lunch pail to the shows. So lay off 'em. Nubs. Tune in and enjoy!

  • Toph's Top Five (Episode #17): Def Leppard
    Jan 22 2026

Episode 17 of Toph’s Top Five, the 2T&A spinoff sweeping the nation, reminds us that there were really three major eras in music: the Rick Allen 2-armed era...the Rick Allen 1-armed era...and, still ongoing, bassist Flea and his 3-arm era. So let's get the Def out. If no one ever said that before, they should have. Shoulda been a thing.

Episode 16 of Toph’s Top Five, the 2T&A spinoff sweeping the nation, focuses on group of Aussie alpha dogs which had some incredible song names -- and some actual songs that weren't so shabby either. Angus beef. Top choice cuts. TT5 is back and, this time, we've got the biggest balls of them all.

  • Episode 96 - Fall Out Boy 'Folie à Deux'
    Nov 5 2025

Toph leads the discussion and review of Fall Out Boy's 2008 album ‘Folie à Deux' – including, as always, albums + songs on our radar and much more!

That's French, ya know. What it means? Tune in and find out. Is this their last good album? Tune in and find out. What was Yes' last good album? Tune in and find out. Did Patrick Stump make the worst solo album ever made? Tune in and find out. Would Nubs go see Wyonna Judd in concert? Tune in and find out. Is Wyonna Judd the dead one? Actually we still don't know. Are the Detroit Red Wings for real? That's another one we don't know but are hopeful. Did Howard The Duck sing his own theme song? Shucks we never checked on that. So c'mon, be there -- we got long song titles, puns, lots of post-emo energy...and did we mention the long song titles?
