Sixty years ago, Marie Clay developed a way to teach reading she said would help kids who were falling behind. They’d catch up and never need help again. Today, her program remains popular, and her theory about how people read is at the root of a lot of reading instruction in schools. But Marie Clay was wrong.

All I can say is this is mind blowing!

This truly impacted my life to make a change in the way I looking at teaching children how to read. Phonics is key all the way!

How long it took for the wrong direction in reading to turn around.

This should be required listening for teachers of elementary school kids. And parents of kids who can't read and are looking for answers. Renews my faith in Phonics!
