    Our 80s Cult Movie lap continues with Troll, which falls right in line with some of the other pit stop movies we've been watching. We talk about JK Rowling totally definitely no way using this movie as inspiration for Harry Potter, the mixed feelings that Julia-Louis Dreyfus has about Troll, and what John Carl Buechler (predominantly a special effects guy) brought to the helm as director. We make our picks for the Most 80s Moment (and Joe makes a bonus pick), we discuss which residents of the building most reflect our own personalities, and we debate the correct order to convert an entire building of humans into trolls. We try to make sense of the (too late into the movie) plot explanation dumb, and we wonder if the movie could have been (gasp) longer. After Joey shares his surprising (at least to him) history with this movie, we discover we have a split opinion on David Bowie's music in this movie. We talk about Labyrinth's strong use of the color brown, discuss whether the movie and its performances are "too theater-y," and pitch an alternate version of this movie with Bowie's character in the real world. We ask: could Labyrinth be "more Jim Henson" than it is? Could we succeed in a life spent in a costume/puppetry rig? Which of today's pop stars would star in a remake?
