Metastatic colorectal cancer is one of the most common causes of death in the cancer world, as well as one of the most common types of cancer. Chemotherapy remains the mainstay of treatment to this day, but the question remains: how can we make it more effective without increasing toxicity?
This week, we explore the intensification of chemotherapy to try and improve overall survival. The second topic is the use of monoclonal antibodies and targeted therapy to enhance existing regimens.
