110 -- Weaponizing Fear of Demographic Changes 

In an earlier podcast, we talked about whiteness as a political coalition. However, the census data show that white as a category will no longer be a standalone majority of the U.S. population by 2042. In anticipation of that, political strategists have been working to weaponize the changing demographics of the country and weaponize the insecurity that generates among whites to try and maintain power. In this week’s episode, we talk about what this type of racialized strategy means for this year’s election and why it is perhaps more worrying for the election in 2024.
