11 -- Local Anesthetics

Let's talk about local anesthetics and dentists. In this episode I describe how to help children with their fears about going to the dentist. Also, should dental hygienists be allowed to give local anesthesia? What might be some good ways to train and certify them? I also give a few of my own tips on how dentists might think about providing comfortable anesthesia. So, patients – how important would you say the delivery of comfortable local anesthesia is to you?
