100+ vehicles involved in crash along west Michigan freeway

More than 100 vehicles crashed into each other or slid off a west Michigan freeway as lake effect snow blanketed the state. The massive pileup prompted Michigan State Police to close both directions of Interstate 196, just southwest of Grand Rapids.
