1: The Ineffable Intro

Vernon Miller experiences a bombing in Iraq when he was just a twenty-year-old U.S. Army soldier. Vern evaded death by a seemingly indescribable moment of chance. This episode culminates with a present day rendition of Vern, now thirty-three years old, in the mountains of Afghanistan, reflecting on that very moment from Iraq. The experience was one of the foundational pieces which led him to inquire within, wherein a journey he never before fathomed opened before his eyes.
