I was blown up while serving as an Assistant Surgeon in a foreign legion unit. It was just a few miles north of the Antonovsky bridge in Kherson, Ukraine. I returned to London a few months later as my role in the conflict had come to an end. I had planned on documenting what life is like for veterans in the UK as a podcast. I was going to break down what it truly means to be a soldier, speak to those that had served, those that had suffered and triumphed in warfare. I had planned to record long-form interviews and even chart the course of various conflicts... But then I bumped into an old friend mid-record and he introduced me to Mr. Sherlock Holmes. Then everything changed. Listener discretion is advised. This podcast is property of Goalhanger Podcasts. Copyright 2023. ------- SHERLOCK AND CO. I listen to podcasts and audiobooks for hours a day, practically every day and have for years.

I have never re-listened to a podcast or audiobook…until now.

This is (in my opinion) the best rendition of Holmes and Watson. (I’m a huge fan, generally.)

Their take on the pair…just perfect.

The sound engineering, along with the phenomenal acting, sets the bar for immersive audio. I genuinely feel like I am right there with them.

Listen to this podcast. You won’t be disappointed.

Just Phenomenal

(Long time ACD fan.). It’s cool how the writers updated the stories with minimal plot differences. But unfortunate character changes. Sherlock is monolithic and explains too little. Watson is now unpleasantly quarrelsome, garrulous and obstructive. Marianna is a wonderful addition.
The verisimilitude of true crime broadcasting is laughable meaning unintentionally hilarious at times.
ie. leave “Mike” the mic on all night in case I cry out from a nightmare(?).
Criminal; “You’re recording me? My embarrassing confession will be broadcast to dozens of strangers and the cops in a few weeks? Sure let me sign the waiver now!”

Mariana good. Watson bad. Sherlock inflexible

I've watched and read quite a few Sherlock spinoff books, movies, etc . I had high hopes for this podcast but it didn't click. It was more like the "Elementary" type Sherlock. It just dragged too much that i didn't feel connected. The podcast method of delivery is my favorite so I'm disappointed that I wasn't able to enjoy this series.

Doesn't maintain my interest
