Mr. Rogers was an icon for a lot of us. We all remember his songs, the sweater, and of course, all the lessons he taught us. While there were a lot of lessons we learned from him on camera as children, there are a few lessons we can learn as adults from what transpired in his life off camera
The first is a lesson in following your purpose in life vs following your passion, and how Mr. Rogers was able to follow his purpose in life and infuse his passion into it.
Another lesson is one in business. Today, we hardly see or hear of anything related to him anymore, and that’s because he had a few very specific rules about advertising and marketing. Unfortunately, these rules made it so that children growing up today will never grow up with the wonderful lessons he taught so many.
