06. Claire Falls…Into Old Habits

In this episode of The Romcom Formula, real life gets messier than any trope Shannon could dream up.

After gloating to listeners about her matchmaking prowess, Shannon reveals that Brian has officially left his corporate job to become her stay-at-home (and studio-support) husband. Meanwhile, Claire struggles to balance her growing feelings for Tony with her workaholic instincts. When she cancels their kayaking date to cover a last-minute client shoot, she misses his art exhibition—and Tony’s patience starts to wear thin.

But fate (and a few airline miles) have other plans. When Claire and Tony discover they’ll both be in New York for work, they plan a very secret rendezvous. Unfortunately, Brian can’t keep a secret to save his life—and Shannon’s romcom meddling instincts kick right back in.
