As a child, Abby lived on the idyllic shores of a lake in upper Michigan and made a “summer sister” friend in Kathleen, whose family spent the season there. Their beachside girlhood shenanigans laid the foundation for a deep and lifelong friendship.Throughout their ups and downs, Abby and Kathleen remained close, until the disease of addiction compounded with mental health issues led to tragedy.
