The way we are and perceive ourselves as humans deeply affects the way we deal with God. In our natural state (without God), we often have a wrong view of ourselves, thinking too highly of our own wisdom and will while subtly resisting the idea that God should be the ruler of our lives. But what happens when we insist on dealing with God on our own terms? Can we truly walk with Him while holding on to the belief that we know best?

In this series, Pastor Jeffrey Walter teaches on what it truly means to have an encounter with God, exploring the nature and purpose of the two dimensions of encountering God. He discusses the often lonely road of bearing true witness to the truth we encounter in God and the need for submission in our dealings with the Lord as we seek to truly encounter Him.

In this message titled “The Way We Deal With the Lord,” Pastor Jeffrey Walter exposes the hidden flaw in the way we deal with God, offering a deep insight into why selfishness is the most primary and greatest evil in the natural man. He shows how our unwillingness to submit to God’s Will and Wisdom hinders our prayers, stifles our spiritual growth, and opposes God’s intentions to change us. He also explains that true prayer is an act of surrender to God’s will, emphasising how submitting our hearts in prayer is key to our alignment with God’s Will and influence. Finally, he admonishes us to examine our posture before God, to let go of our own wisdom and selfishness, and to embrace the humility required to truly walk with Him.

This message will inspire you to examine your heart, reorient your thinking, and submit your will and wisdom to God in every area of your life.
