#021 The Problem Solving Process

  • Resumen

  • On todays podcast, we share a useful outline to help you work through and solve problems. Below are a few books and resources we believe will be valuable tools for you!

Here are some points to follow:

    1. Try to identify your biggest pain. The place where you’re stuck and you maybe could go under if you don’t get unstuck.
    2. Try to solve it yourself.
    3. Bring it to a trusted group with different "SEE" levels.
    4. Gather information:
      1. Ask questions
      2. Sometimes it stops here
      3. I didn’t think I was qualified. As I listened, sometimes leaders were clogged and needed help sorting. Once they got unclogged, they often could solve their own problems. I learned this phenomenon when I was building houses. Listening to the person talk to themself.
      4. During the whole process stay inside the question.
      5. Beware of the guy with one answer.
    5. Look at examples. You're trying to gather as much information from outside sources as you can.
      1. Your own experiences
      2. The Bible
      3. Case studies
      4. Kingdom metrics: The people in the room. The people not in the room.
    6. List many solutions.
      1. Break it down into many parts
      2. Like rebuilding an engine.
      3. More than one solution to choose from is better.
    7. Choose the best ones
    8. Write a plan Proverbs 21:5
      1. If it’s complex, who does what by when?
    9. Commit to moving forward.
      1. Set small goals and timelines.
