Freedom from sin and its consequences is the inheritance of Christians, yet few take hold of it. False doctrine and disobedience to God’s commandments distort our understanding of Him and trap us in cycles of struggle. True transformation and lasting freedom from sin can only be realized when one’s spiritual body is retrained.

In this message, “The Body of Sin – Part 1,” Pastor Jeffrey Walter highlights the vital role of doctrine, showing that what we believe shapes our perception of God and influences our life experiences. He explains the nature of the human mind and body and describes the “body of sin” as an ingrained spiritual structure, formed through repeatedly giving ourselves to false beliefs and evil actions, thus making sinful patterns feel natural and self-perpetuating. He concludes by demonstrating that, through obedience to sound doctrine and the consistent practice of it, this inner structure can be retrained, allowing a renewed spiritual body to form—one that aligns with God’s divine purpose.

This message is a call to intentional transformation: embracing truth and obedience so that freedom from sin and its consequences becomes a living reality.

11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Romans 6:6 (KJV)

Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
