We often focus on overcoming evil desires and their consequent actions, while paying little attention to the unbelief that actually arises from those desires. This unbelief (which is essentially a falsehood) blocks us from sustaining the truth of God within us and subsequently, divine outcomes are impeded in our lives. Thus, unbelief is a sin that ought not to be treated casually.
In this series, Pastor Jeffrey Walter uncovers the false belief systems that usher us into cyclical miseries and the wrong approaches that end up compounding those miseries. He admonishes us to put away our familiar false doctrines and flawed belief systems, demonstrating how through spiritual focus and maintaining a heart of gratitude, we develop a new belief system to achieve divine manifestations in our lives.
In this episode, “Spiritual Focus”, Pastor Jeffrey Walter establishes that the presence of unbelief in us (i.e., the inability to receive truth in the heart) is a sign of an evil heart condition, and as such, must be treated with urgency. He goes on to reveal how focus (intense awareness) serves as a tool to magnify intent to bring forth an outcome, demonstrating how both positive and negative outcomes achieve fruition through our focus. Finally, he calls on us to actively shift our focus from the false belief systems which come to us easily, and stay it on the truths prescribed by the Word of God, in order to put an end to the continuous production of evil outcomes in our lives.
This message will challenge your view of unbelief and inspire you to get back your focus from the enemy.
Theme Passage: Isaiah 33:13-24 KJV
Key scriptures:
Jeremiah 2:11-13 KJV 11 Hath a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit. 12 Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid, be ye very desolate, saith the LORD. 13 For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.
Isaiah 33:20 KJV Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnities: thine eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation, a tabernacle that shall not be taken down; not one of the stakes thereof shall ever be removed, neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken.
Other Scriptures: Hosea 6:1-3 [KJV]
