Many people believe that they are unhappy because of their outward life experiences, and because of this belief, their solution to being happy in life is to try to change those outward situations they are experiencing. However, such an approach does not work, because no man can ever really be in charge of external happenings.
In this message titled, “Postures of the Mind, Part 1”, Pastor Jeffrey Walter explains that our external circumstances in themselves do not determine our peace, joy, anxiety, or suffering—but rather our own interpretation of those circumstances. He explains the critical role a belief system plays in this regard.
Beloved, as you listen to this message, may it speak directly to your heart and lead you to seek lasting freedom, mental clarity, peace, and a deeper walk with God.
Key Scripture: Mark 4:38-40 KJV 38And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? 39And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. 40And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?
Other Scriptures: Hebrews 11:1 KJV
