עה"פ [בשני דפ' שמות] "וילך איש מבית לוי ויקח את בת לוי" מפרש"י ש"פרוש הי' ממנה מפני גזירת פרעה וחזר ולקחה וזהו וילך שהלך בעצת בתו שאמרה לו גזירתך קשה משל פרעה . . והחזירה וכו'", שדוקא בת קטנה מישראל חיזקה את הבטחון של עמרם "גדול הדור" וכו'. ומכאן ההוראה ע"ד חלק החשוב שיש לנשי ישראל להשפיע על בעליהם באופן של "איזוהי אשה כשירה‏ – ‏העושה רצון בעלה"‏ – ‏היא עושה רצון חדש אצל בעלה, שבמקום שיהי' לו הרצון לרדוף אחר הפרנסה כי חושב ש"כחי ועוצם ידי עשה לי את החיל הזה" הרי היא מראה לו מ"ש בסידור שהקב"ה הוא "הזן את העולם כולו בטובו בחן בחסד וברחמים"! ואין סיבה לרדיפה אחר הפרנסה וכו'.

Synopsis

On the verse (in sheini of parashas Shemos), “A man from the house of Levi went and took the daughter of Levi,” Rashi says: “He had been separated from her because of Pharaoh’s decree, and he married her again. This is the meaning of ‘he went’: he followed the advice of his daughter who said to him, ‘Your decree is harsher than Pharaoh’s...’ and he took her back.” Thus, it was specifically a young girl who strengthened the bitachon of Amram’s, the “great one of the generation.” This teaches us the important role Jewish women have in influencing their husbands, as our Sages taught, “Who is a good wife – one who does the will of her husband,” meaning she creates a new will within her husband: instead of him trying to chase after a livelihood and thinking that “my strength and the might of my hand have made this wealth for me,” she shows him what it says written in the Siddur, that it is Hashem who “sustains the entire world with His goodness, with grace, with kindness, and with mercy.”
