As an educator in the city of Baltimore, I would often hear words from male students like "I can't do it" or "I'm not smart". This mindset began to be reflected in their classwork and in their behavior. I decided to do something about it. My desire is to change the narrative surrounding young boys of color and build them up.
Words are powerful. They are seeds of potential watered by unwavering belief. I want to plant consistent seeds of positivity into the minds of our youth that will leave no room for inferiority to exist.
