This short set of poems is an expression of our universal need for connection, to ourselves as well as to others, in the most practical and human way possible. Within this beautiful connection to ourselves and others is an essential reconnection to and reconciliation with our shared consciousness.
This is, I believe, the ground of our being and the fundamental reality. It seems to me that in order to arrive at this place of intimate connection, it is necessary for us to return to the present, and there, to let go of the past and the illusion of the future. In the present, we are faced with ourselves in all our beauty and pain. In the present, we can heal and be free, finding support through our connection with others and the deepest or highest part of our Being.
