They were invited to paradise. They found a nightmare.

Zoo-State: the most advanced zoological park ever conceived, a technological marvel promising unprecedented harmony between humanity and nature. For photojournalist Elara, security expert Vikram, and a handful of other elite guests, it was the scoop of a lifetime.

But the pristine veneer of this "Eighth Wonder of the World" quickly crumbles. Whispers of terrified staff, the haunted eyes of captive animals, and a chilling child's drawing hint at a truth far more sinister than they could imagine. The real exhibits in Zoo-State aren't just in cages.

When a catastrophic system failure plunges the park into bloody chaos, the guests' exclusive tour becomes a desperate battle for survival. Genetically engineered horrors from the forbidden Sector X are unleashed, and the park's creators will stop at nothing to ensure their secrets die with everyone trapped inside.

Hunted by unspeakable creatures and a ruthless regime, the survivors must navigate a fallen Eden where every corner hides a new terror. Can they escape the steel and shadows of Zoo-State and expose its monstrous truth to an unsuspecting world?

I expected so much more from this author. This book was torture to listen to... not because of AI narration but because the writing was dismal. If I had a quarter for every single time he mentioned the child's drawing, I could retire. it was beyond lame and I tend to think it's because he was writing from a female's perspective. Which is truly offensive and demonstrates that he absolutely does not know crap about women.

If you've ever listened to any of his books about bear attacks or shark attacks you will understand what I'm saying in the oft repeated phrases that he is so comfortable with. While repetitive with those individual stories, each of those stories stand alone. However every paragraph in this book does not stand alone and therefore does not need the repetition.

I don't know if the author could have repeated himself if he tried

drink every time you hear "child's crude drawing", "fragile hope", or facial expressions described as "a mask"

actually don't, you'll make yourself sick, even if it's just water you're drinking.

it's too awful of a book, read by an equally awful robot, to really attempt a review of.

Often repetitive, and also frequently redundant
