Science writing for everybody

The writing is very creative...natural philosophy in the new sense of the word par excellence, grounded in the literature, and put together using the talents of experts, highly credentialed in the field.
Readers who are not familiar with how New Scientist works may be hesitant or question the credibility, but in the course of the discussions, the intellectual and scientific basis is strongly grounded. Instead of a standard bibliography, important people in the field addressed in the book are noted in the index. The books are signed off by New Scientist as the author. I think the team should be credentialed much more explicitly personally, but I value this contribution, and all of their books immensely, and also the New Scientist magazine, of course.
