Too many people are waiting. They are waiting on a boss or a job or a break or a friend or a spouse. They are waiting on someone or something to change their life. But others can’t change you. They can help, support, love, and assist. You Turn is about the control we have over our own lives. We don’t control everything, but we do control many of the important things. As a pastor, I often interact with people on their worst days. While every situation is unique, many common themes can be found. Some areas in life are more difficult than others—fear, mistakes, relationships, work, and grief often become stumbling blocks for people. Because we focus on the wrong things, ignore our responsibilities, and make bad decisions we often struggle with aspects of life. You Turn gives us an emergency plan for the stressful areas of life. Stop making excuses, tell yourself the truth, and find a better way.
