Whats up with women narrating Bond?

I been reading Fleming’s Bond since I sneaked my father’s copies. I been listening to the audio versions but cannot bear hysteric impersonations of dramatic scenes by low talented female performers. Find a good brit accented narrator that can do justice to this masculine hero. Male. Listen to the Sharpe series, now thats a talented narrator, Take the advice do a make over of the series. Listeners skip this version.

Weird Japanese voices ruins it

Decent story but the silly voices used for the Japanese speakers just gets too annoying

Very fun exciting performance!

Performers who performed were the nationality of the role! Also an excellent James Bond actor also!

Too Much Unnecessary Information

This is my least favorite James Bond book. There was too much irrelevant information about Japanese culture and customs. The list of poisonous plants in the “Garden of Death” was mind numbing. However, the second half of the book was vintage James Bond, and the “cliffhanger”ending made me rush to my book shelf for the next story in the series.

Another must read from Ian Fleming

Loved this book! Always my favorite movie from my childhood. Great to hear a different story.

This performance was a step back for James Bond books

I'm a huge fan of James Bond books and have read almost all of them. I was very excited to hear they were remaking some of them and was hoping for a theatrical reading. since sometimes in the past the female voices were very poorly done but the rest of the voices were rather good.

This time it was just the opposite you had a woman doing All the voices while she was quite talented it didn't ring true for the main actor being a male. why can't they employ multiple voice talents to read for each part of the book! That's what we're paying for.

In regards to the book itself this was one of the my least favorites it took a long time to get to the action. There was a lot of setup and the action was only for few chapters it seemed like versus the movie action was throughout it, if I remember correctly.

Audible should do better!!!
