Acerca de esta escucha

A New York Times best seller and a “charming tribute” (Kirkus) to Hollywood’s most beloved era film and television star Robert Wagner has been delighting audiences for more than 60 years, and his many fans flocked to bookstores when he began to record his memories on the page. In his second New York Times best seller, Wagner shares stories of Hollywood life behind the scenes from the 1930s through the 1950s. As poignant as it is revealing - and filled with magical moments like Judy Garland singing Gershwin at a dinner party thrown by Clifton Webb and golf games with Fred Astaire - You Must Remember This is Wagner’s tender farewell to a legendary era.

Hollywood of old

I enjoyed listening to Roberts voice. i didn't think the story was that great unless you were into the old stars.

Great book!

I grew up watching TCM so I’ve always had a love for Hollywood and what actually occurred rather than what was portrayed. I read this after reading Wagner’s other books. I enjoyed this front to cover and think anyone who is a fan of Robert Wagner or Old Hollywood will enjoy.

If you like stories about the old guard in Hollywood...

Robert Wagner has interesting stories about the Hollywood of old and he tells them with great love and admiration. This book is a great read for young and old. I enjoyed it very much. I'm only sorry the illustrations didn't come as part of the book.

OLD HOLLYWOOD TASTEFULLY UNVEILED

This is a fascinating story of a time long gone. It has historical and personal memories of Hollywood's beginnings and how it changed into the 21st century shared by one who experienced a lot of it 1st hand. Robert Wagner is factual with a somewhat respectful grace in looking back. I really enjoyed his own reading of it and hearing a bit of his feelings about it in his tone

Good listening. I enjoyed it because it was old Hollywood when everything was glamorous. I recommend it.

Oh WOW, step back in time. This is the best.

Pure Hollywood entertainment at its best from the GOLDEN ERA. The history is wonderful, and being from this area with family history entwined, it was so fun as places were mentioned that I knew and went to, etc. Being a Golden Era fan, it was Hollywood entertainment at its best. The details of people backgrounds, antics, and places the stars built, and what has happened to both places and stars was fantastic. Robert Wagner's voice was so crisp and familiar, and you can visually see face and smile while he tells this story. This was the first book I listened of his three, and I recommend this as the first listen.

Wonderful.

This is an old Hollywood history lesson told by a humble and interesting man. I thought things might get tacky and scandalous, but Wagner tells it all with class and grace. I gained a lot of respect for the man by how he handled his subject matter, and I learned a lot about Old Hollywood. I only wish the book were about three times longer. I'll be listening to this one again.

A perfect book about the Golden Age of Hollywood

RJ Wagner is the THE historian to discuss the Golden Age of Hollywood. He leaves no part of the Tinseltown uncovered as he discusses the hotels, the homes, the getaways and the power players. I loved his other two books and this listen definitely did not disappoint!
