I purchased this book awhile back, but just now had a chance to listen to it and God’s timing was perfect as always. Your sweet words of inspiration were just what I needed. Lisa thank you for sharing and reading this book! I’m SO grateful you read it yourself. You are an amazing lady and feel like a long time friend. Your kind voice and words were SO inspiring! Praise God for your Dad and his decision to follow the Lord! Your family’s books and sermons have been a huge help to me many times when I needed to be reminded of God’s love and the message of hope that only He can provide. God bless you all!

Loved this book

Lisa Osteen Come has been through alot of things in her life and even though it was tough she made it through with God. I loved listening to this book and wanted it to keep going. She is very enouraging and you will want to keep the faith and make it through your own problems in life knowing that God is always with you.

I struggled with wanting to EVER listen to anyone but Joel Osteen. I'm elated that I took a chance on Lisa. This incredible Lady tells her story, her walk of faith, in such an interestingly, can't-put-book-down kind of way. Her voice is beautiful and draws you in. I kept thanking God for her endurance to read her entire book so tirelessly. She kept it fresh, light, & ever so hopeful! Thank you, Lisa!

Interesting Christian Story

A triumphant story would have a foundation of leaning in and trusting God step-by-step which I didn't think was quite the height of this book. The presence of God was continuous in the events of her life, but the fervor is not there to flame the gift present to her. She didn't seem to take the responsibility to seek God as she should but relied on the strong faith of her parents beyond the age where she should take more initiative. Many may find the story inspiring that God is there and working on our behalf even if we lack enthusiasm about the grace available to us. God never leaves us or forsakes us and is patient and will continue to seek to bless us more, but He cannot do that if we seek answers elsewhere and maybe also with God but without any commitment. Wavering back and forth between leaning on people and natural means and then pray but then turn away to get relief elsewhere will not bring the grace of God to bear in one's situation.

Our God is a covenant God and requires that we participate in the divine nature as 2 Peter 1:3-4 states. "His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire."
