Perfectly Expressive Narration

I struggled to find a performance of this book that captured the chaos, madness, and double meanings within every character. I love how expressive and exciting this one was, instead of monotone. Perfect cadence for a story like this one. Listening to the book also took me mentally to the moors and to the gothic setting almost as much as reading it. Truly delightful.

Perfectly captures the passionate emotions of the characters

Truly, one of my biggest issues with Wuthering Heights adaptations is how often the intense emotions driving Cathy, Heathcliff, and everyone else feel wooden, scripted, or just generally falling flat. NOT so with this narration. Obviously Wuthering Heights is a fantastic book—my all-time favorite—; Billie Fulford-Brown’s narration ELEVATES the story. Immediately relistening.

One voice, several distinct characters!

Beautifully narrated, piqued the imagination and left nothing for questions. A female narrator but the male characters stood out impressively! Anger, calm, love and anger, strengths and weaknesses were captured wonderfully!

The narration was so over the top dramatic that it was difficult to follow the complex timeline, characters & plot
