Retired psychotherapist Cheryl Hanover knows secrets—painful truths her clients trusted would never leave her office. But after a string of losses, including her husband, her sister, and her position as director of a mental health clinic, Cheryl feels untethered. Grieving, alone, and restless, she finds purpose in taking on the responsibility to make things right—even if it means breaking the sacred confidentiality of her profession.

She sends nine anonymous letters, each revealing facts she believes someone needs to hear. But when one letter is traced back to her, Cheryl is accused of threatening a local judge and court-ordered into therapy. She struggles with her assigned therapist, the young Dr. Jason Burke, and her role reversal as his client.

As she tracks the fallout from the remaining letters, Cheryl starts receiving mysterious messages from an unknown source—too obscure to report but too persistent to ignore.

Is she unraveling, or is someone truly stalking her?

Snarky but compassionate, Cheryl ultimately faces the most challenging fact to accept—she may not know the whole truth.

Writing the Wrongs is a darkly funny, character-driven exploration of ethical dilemmas, moral ambiguity, and the unpredictable consequences of concealing or revealing the truth.

A very engaging story, cleverly weaving a suspenseful mystery into the landscape of the best and worst of how human beings act.
I highly recommend!

I couldn’t stop listening!

The first scene of this book shows Cheryl, a therapist with years of experience, being forced by a court mandate to enter therapy herself. Her interior monologue is priceless as she mentally critiques her assigned therapist's office decor, clothing choices, questioning techniques, and therapy strategies. From this point on, Cheryl's internal justification for what are clearly ethics violations begins to emerge, and we start to understand that gray area where she just might be right. What might we do in the same circumstances? The suspense builds as Cheryl plays detective and spy, and then she, herself the becomes the target of a stalker. This is a serious story, but has humor and heart to keep you rooting for the characters, even as you second-guess their choices.
