ABSOLUTEY THE PERFECT BOOK

The spiraling of events will leave you crying, hoping, and petrified. I felt an immense amount of compassion and remorse for our protagonist. I could not set this book down!

Good Read

Writing and Publishing a Book: Secrets of a Christian Author was a good read by Bill Vincent. This book gives the reader many helpful tips to writing and publishing their own stories. Bill Vincent gives tips on different aspects of the writing and publishing journey from his own experiences as a writer and publisher.

More than I thought

It really is great for Christians to listen to. It will give you some ideas and help you become a Christian writer.

A short but informative read. I love some of the details that really helped me overcome my need to be a write. I can begin now.

Hard listen

The overall information contained in the book is decent but lacking overall. Narration is very hard to listen to.

Nothing New, "Christian" Wrapper

Before I begin, I need to state that I received an advance copy for my honest review.

When first saw the title of the book, my curiosity was piqued, as I'm writing a textbook on Biblical Greek alongside a course I'm teaching. I listrned attentively through the opening section on how to know if writing a book is for you. I suspect anyone who's interested in this is beyond that point.

Any of the 'secrets' offered are commonly-stated eccentricities of the publishing industry that can be found on a simple Google search, mixed with the author telling anecdotes about his career that give the impression of the author's bragging. One that I cannot get out of my head is something along the lines of "Many people are good at one thing. Me, I'm good at many things."

The work might be appropriate for someone looking for a simplified guide through authoring and publishing, but be warned that the back end sounds more like an advertisement for self-publishing houses than a" secret guide" for new authors. Around the internet, it's claimed that the most successful self-published books are books on self-publishing, and I don't see this as any exception.

The narration was much better than the content, although some editing choices led content headers not to stick out from the content itself, which would be confusing in a longer work.
