In the last half of the twentieth century, an issue of debate and disagreement arose throughout Christianity concerning the role of women in the Church, regarding whether women should be allowed to serve as elders and pastors. Scripture passages were presented to attempt to prove that God had chosen men for these Church offices. And, arguments were offered in an effort to rebut these scriptures. By the close of the twentieth century, these arguments had been accepted and endorsed by the majority of the Church. Women are now regularly ordained to serve as elders and pastors in churches across America. This book revisits this issue, and reexamines the scriptural evidence. The results and findings of this scriptural investigation will be unsettling to most sincere Christians. This book will clearly reveal the biblical truth about who has been called by God to serve in these Church leadership positions. For such an important and controversial topic. Listing the same verses without truly diving deeper into the theological context for BOTH sides did not truly add anything concrete.

Apologetics of Paul and the context of Scripture. I would have enjoyed more of the build-up to the history of the decline of this rule and its consequences on the slippery slope.
