With Liberty and Justice for All is a declaration by American public interest lawyer William John Cox suspending his consent to be represented by corrupt government, with a reaffirmation of his Ninth Amendment retained Rights of Liberty, and a review of the Voter’s Bill of Rights.
The federal government has become increasingly corrupt since WWII, with the continual expansion of its mission and budget, irrespective of which political party wins elections to Congress and the presidency. The expenditure of vast sums of money corrupts the elected government and both major political parties.
Corruption commences with election campaigns that are media productions costing millions of dollars and designed to sow disinformation and promote division, rather than to educate and unite. Campaigns consume billions of dollars donated as bribery for the favors of the People’s representatives. Once elected, representatives immediately begin raising money for the next election and ensuring the benefits of wealthy donors and corporations, rather than attending to the needs of the People.
These corrupting corporations claim constitutional due process rights of personhood, yet they exist with eternal life as powerful contractual robots programed with an absence of conscience to achieve maximum profits.
The corruption infects the entire electoral and representative system of self-government. When there is no real difference in the ultimate allegiance of the candidates offered, bad representatives get elected, bad laws get made, and good People get hurt.
The corruption and lack of accountability is accelerating under an increasingly powerful “unitary executive” form of government.
In 1979, Cox filed a lawsuit in the Supreme Court on behalf of all citizens claiming their government no longer represented them. The remedy he asked for was a national policy referendum in association with presidential elections, allowing the People to answer the most critical questions facing them, and to elect representatives who would carry out their policy instructions.
When the Court declined his petition, Cox conducted an independent write-in campaign for president in 1980. In addition to the Policy Referendum, his platform proposed a police response to deal with international conflict instead of military violence.
Rather than a declaration of war, congress would issue an “warrant” authorizing the use of force to “arrest” the named dictator who poses a risk of harm to the US and his own people. The individual would be compelled to personally appear in the International Court of Justice to defend his “government.”
Continuing to serve the public interest, Cox prosecuted the radical deniers of the Holocaust in the case featured in Never Forget, and he represented a secret client to publish the suppressed Dead Sea Scrolls. Since his retirement, he has written books and promoted a Voter’s Bill of Rights.
Cox is once again advocating for the People by proposing that the People have the inherent standing to personally suspend their consent to be governed by a corrupt government, and to reaffirm their Ninth Amendment retained Rights of Liberty. A new political party is not necessary because the Voter’s Bill of Rights is a nonpartisan uniting of all People with a common goal to make a difference with our individual vote.
Together, we can change the future by causing the Voter’s Bill of Rights to be added to our Constitution, thereby adjusting the nature of our self-government and altering the future of our children.
We, the American People are quite capable of creating our own policy in referendums and we retain our Rights of Liberty under the Ninth Amendment to reform and transform our self-government.
With Liberty and Justice for All reviews the Voter's Bill of Rights and concludes with a short story about the Cox family of Revolutionary War patriots and Texas rebels, where the author is known as Billy Jack.
