Witches are real - and each of us may be one -in this all-new paranormal suspense novel from number-one New York Times best-selling author Christopher Pike.
Heading off for a weekend in Las Vegas with her friends, Jessie Ralle has only one worry: how to make it through the road trip in the same car as her ex, Jimmy Kelter. The guy she hasn’t come close to getting over since he broke up with her five months ago. The guy who’s finally ready to tell her why he did it, because now he wants her back.
Only, sometimes knowing why doesn’t actually make things better. Sometimes it leads to bigger, more terrifying questions.
Jessie discovers that she’s stumbled into a world where some people can do the impossible and others may not even be human. Are there really witches? Is she one of them? Armed with new abilities and shocked to discover an entire parallel world in which she and her loved ones co-exist, Jessie’s desperate to learn whom she can trust and whom she can’t - before it’s too late.

I wish audible would put the entire Thirst series in their catalog. Even though I've read them, I'd read them again. I started audible books when I was on the road for my job going up and down the Texas coast. I found that when I listen to music, I would get sleepy because of the steady beat. Audiobooks keep my interest and I don't get sleepy. I certainly hope you put any sequels to Witch World in your line up.
Pike tells a huge story that is complex and tells it in an uncomplicated manner. I was so excited to see this new book out and characters I could follow and unfold, finding more than a one dimensional character. From Russ to Whip to Jessie, Pike delivered. All I want is more more more... I understand that a finale for Thirst will be out soon and I will buy it and read it more than once. I so look forward to more of Witch World.
The narration was by Justine Eyre who was nothing less than amazing. You guys did it again. Congratulations!
Love Christopher Pikes new book!

What did you love best about Witch World?
Christopher Pike wrote it! He is such a thorough storyteller! I have read every.single.one. of his early releases as a young adult over ten years ago. I was so excited when I came upon this fairly new release. I see he has written some other books pertaining to vampires but Witch World is much more up my alley. I loved the plot and setting. The characters were very well developed. There were a lot of edge of your seat moments. Just when you think there is some finality to a scene or situation something happens that throws you for a loop. Not predictable at all. It was a nice escape.Who was your favorite character and why?
Even though Jessie is the heroine in this story she annoyed me sometimes. I liked "Jessica" because she was fierce and less naive. Favorite is hard to say though..Russell coming into the story was what really made me get into it.What about Justine Eyre’s performance did you like?
I liked her European accents. She did a great job with Russell and Candor's (sp?) parts.Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No laughter or tears.Any additional comments?
Part of me wished I had bought the physical book to read myself when I first started listening. New to the audiobook experience, I wasn't sure if I made a good decision. It took me a couple of chapters to get used to the narrators voice. She performed it well but something about the way she talked annoyed me in the beginning. As I got deeper into the story the annoyance left and I was able to enjoy the story. I'm now plotting on my next download.Long time Pike fan, 1st audiobook experience
