Somewhere in a place so far up there is no down, a ship is waiting to take the nomes home - back to wherever they came from. And one nome, Masklin, knows that they've got to try and contact this ship.

It means getting to Florida (wherever that is), then getting to the launch of a communications satellite (whatever that is). A ridiculous plan. Impossible. But Masklin doesn't know this, so he tries to do it anyway. And the first step is to try and hitch a ride on a new kind of truck, a truck with wings - Concorde...

The hilarious and imaginative sequel to Truckers and Diggers.

Reseñas de la Crítica

Brings Terry Pratchett's invention to a satisfying and consistent climax .... Here is a real effort of creativity, and a criticism of society no less forceful for being clothed in the garb of comedy. Children, thank goodness, will read it for the fun and the gallery of memorable eccentrics. They will not on that account escape the satire and the philosophy. Great stuff
The triumphant conclusion of his "nome" trilogy
As funny as its predecessors
As always (Pratchett) is head and shoulders above even the best of the rest. He is screamingly funny. He is wise. He has style...Splendid
The triumphant conclusion of his "nome" trilogy .... Pratchett never writes down for kids, but has the knack of making you shift your perception of reality rather as Lewis Carroll did .... (his books) certainly broaden the imaginative horizon
Splendid

Terry is my favorite author whether it’s adult books or “YA” titles. And Stephen Briggs cannot be beat as a narrator.

A delight

Stephen Briggs is amazing as usual along with Terry Pratchett’s usual wonder, but the recording is scratchy in some places and it only slightly dampens the quality, which is highly unusual because that’s never happened before.

Wonderful but Technical Difficulties

A laugh out loud adventure with a little something for everyone. It is both a story of a race of little creatures trying to find their home in a world with boundaries that won't stop growing as well as a mirror in which we can laugh at our own efforts to define our home in a space which abhors restraint more than a vacuum. This is possible because no matter what language in which it is read, it was written in the universal language of story in which Sir Terry Pratchett is a master.

Giant fun in a relatively small package!

True to Terry Pratchett's normal style, this book is full of tounge in cheek humor with subtle points interwoven into a fantasy world. A lighthearted and fun story, it is just what some of us need to take us away from a world full of illness and turmoil.

simple and fun

Been reading Terry Pratchett books for decades. Stephen Briggs perfectly captures the voices of the characters I had been imagining all these years.

Story is Rendered beautifully.
