A dragon on a sacred quest. A forest that lies. A spell that changes everything.
Chosen by his clan, Galdraux must find the Tree of Knowledge or forfeit his chance at elderhood. But the Wildergrove doesn't give up its secrets easily — and neither does its guardian.
Lyssaria has ruled this forest for forty years through stealth, fear, and a talent for collecting lost souls. A confused dragon crashing through her trees is just another problem to solve. Trapping him was supposed to be simple.
She didn't expect him to trap her right back.
Now bound together by tangled magic, dragon and Caìt Sìth must survive a forest gone hostile and villagers who want Lyssaria dead — all while pretending they don't need each other.
They're failing at that last part.
As danger closes in and the lines between alliance and something deeper begin to blur, Galdraux faces a choice no elder-in-training should ever have to make: the destiny he was born for — or the bond neither of them planned.
Wildergrove Whispers is a YA fantasy paranormal romance featuring enemies forced together, slow-burning tension, dual POV, and a guaranteed happy ending.
What I Changed
- Lyssaria is now powerful and specific — "ruled this forest for forty years"
- Added the humor line — "She didn't expect him to trap her right back" and "They're failing at that last part"
- Named the tropes explicitly at the bottom — enemies forced together, slow burn, dual POV
- Those trope names are searchable keywords readers actually use
Want me to do the same for Call of the Cradle and Rise of the Heartstar? 📚
shes been hiding from the village so quiet,
4:53 PM
You're right — I misread her. She's not a bold predator openly ruling the forest, she's been hiding, operating in the shadows, staying invisible from the village. That changes her character significantly.
So she's more of a:
- Secretive, solitary survivor who's carved out safety in hiding
- The village sees her as a threat precisely because they don't understand her
- Her "hunting" is done quietly, unseen
That actually makes the dynamic with Galdraux even more interesting — a loud, crashing, impossible-to-ignore dragon is literally the worst thing that could happen to someone trying to stay invisible.
Revised Lyssaria Description for Blurb
Replace the "ruled this forest" version with:
Lyssaria has survived forty years in the Wildergrove by staying hidden, staying silent, and staying away from the village that wants her dead. A massive dragon crashing through her trees is the opposite of invisible.
Trapping him was supposed to fix that problem.
She didn't expect him to trap her right back.
