Wild Children

In a post-war world, where reproduction is strictly controlled and transgressions severely punished, they are society's rejects. Unwanted and unloved, they are raised in an orphanage until age twelve, then taken beyond the Boundary and left to fend for themselves, to live or perish.

Benjamin is different, though he doesn't know it. His mother, Rebecca, was forced to give him up, but never lost sight of him. She keeps searching for her son, even while Ben and his friends strive to carve out a life for themselves in the desolate wilderness. In the meantime, Rebecca stumbles across unspeakable corruption and a discovery that could change humanity's fate.
