Wicca is an alternative witchcraft religion that focuses on worshipping gods, goddesses, and nature. It is not just about rebelling against your family or society or about learning to do various spells. Wicca is a religion. It is a belief system that gives a direction to your lost spiritual path.
Wicca was introduced to the public in the year 1954 by Gerald Gardner, a retired British servant. But its roots are in the ancient Pre-Christian Celtic society. There is no central or core authority (such as a defined clergy) although there are priests and priestesses that may have taken over the responsibility of leadership in Wiccan groups.
Wicca is a legally recognized religion in the United States of America. It is not about Satan worshipping, or public displays of sexuality, or blood sacrifices, or practicing nudity in public or harming others through their spells. In fact, it is about accepting the divinity of nature and seeking harmony with the earth.
